No club can run beyond 3 am in Panchkula: DCP
In a bid to maintain law and order across the city, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shrishti Gupta held a crucial meeting today with club operators from across Panchkula. The meeting focused on the regulation of club activities, closing times, sound pollution and the consumption of prohibited items.
DCP Gupta made it clear that all clubs must strictly adhere to rules laid down by the administration. In particular, she stated that no club would be permitted to operate beyond 3 am. Any violation of this regulation would invite strict legal action, the DCP said.
The DCP emphasised that most clubs were located close to residential areas, and loud music played late into the night caused considerable inconvenience to residents. Besides, consumption or serving of hookah on club premises was strictly banned.
She further directed club owners to report any disorderly conduct or anti-social activities within their premises directly to her. She said, “A special night surveillance system has been deployed across the city, including separate checkpoints for day and night.”
