Tribute paid to Kargil martyr on 23rd anniversary

DAV School, Surajpur, took part in a solemn floral tribute ceremony held in honour of Major Sandeep Sagar, commemorating the 23rd anniversary of his supreme sacrifice for the nation.
Major Sandeep Sagar laid down his life in Kargil War 1999 during Operation Vijay in the Nowshera sub-sector of Rajouri, near the Line of Control (LoC), while serving with valour and unwavering commitment. His courage remains a beacon of inspiration for citizens across the country.
The ceremony was held at Sector 8/17, which is known as Sandeep Sagar chowk. It was graced by the presence of Gyanchand Gupta, former Panchkula MLA and former Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, who paid homage to the fallen hero and offered heartfelt blessings to Major Sagar’s family. In his address, Gupta highlighted the importance of remembering such brave soldiers whose lives were laid down to protect the sovereignty of the nation.
Attendees, including faculty, local residents and dignitaries, stood in solemn respect, saluting Major Sagar’s immense bravery and sacrifice.
