Meet actor who once played villain roles in Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar’s films, left Bollywood to become Maulana, is now hard to recognise, he is…

In Indian cinema, movies are always incomplete if they don’t have a good antagonist. Many actors in the Bollywood industry made a name for themselves after doing a lot of grey roles. However, did you ever hear that an actor who once worked with A-list actors of the industry left acting to follow the path of spirituality and became a spiritual leader? If not, then this article is for you. In 1991, Ajay Devgn’s one of the biggest hits Phool Aur Kaante made it to the big screen. Apart from Ajay and Madhoo, another character which grabbed netizens’ attention was Rocky, who played the villain.

His role again acclaimed appreciation and fans wanted to know who this actor was. Let us tell you that the role of Rocky was played by actor Arif Khan. Following a good start for a grey character, Arif went on to do various movies where he played the role of a villain and the audience loved it. He appeared as the antagonist in films like Mohra and Diljale. However, after a while, he understood that his calling was something else than to be an actor.

When Ajay Devgn’s Villain Became a Maulana

Arif’s debut as a villain in Phool Aur Kaante was widely loved. The character of Rocky set the stage right for his career. While Ajay Devgn was beginning his acting career, Arif too embarked on his journey, taking on roles as a villain. Arif did various movies with top stars. However, he never achieved the name and fame in his career as a lead actor.

Arif shared screen space with actors like Salman Khan and Suniel Shetty. In the majority of his films, Arif was either seen taking on the hero or facing off against him as the villain.

After spending many years in Bollywood, Arif understood his calling and decided to quit the glitz and glamour of the entertainment industry to become a Maulana with the Tablighi Jamaat. He chose the path of spirituality.
