Several missing as bus falls into Alaknanda River in Uttarakhand

At least one person died while 11 others went missing after a bus they were travelling in fell into the Alaknanda River in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand on Thursday morning.

Police and the disaster response teams have reached the spot, and rescue operations are underway.

According to reports, the bus was going uphill when the driver lost control and fell into the river. They said seven people have been rescued, and those injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
