Two Killed, Over 50 Injured As Bihar-Delhi Bus Crashes On Agra-Lucknow Expressway Near Etawah
Two persons were killed while 30 others suffered injuries in a road accident in the early hours of Thursday near Etawah, when a private sleeper bus travelling from Bihar to Delhi veered off the Agra-Lucknow Expressway and overturned. The accident took place near milestone 103 in the Saifai area of Etawah district.
The double-decker bus, which had started its journey from Madhubani in Bihar and was heading towards New Delhi, was carrying around 55 passengers at the time of the incident.
District Magistrate of Etawah, Shubhrant Kumar Shukla, confirmed the casualties and said, "Early in the morning, a double-decker bus from Madhubani to New Delhi carrying around 55 people, skidded off the expressway while en route from Lucknow to Agra. Two people died on the spot. Around 30 to 35 others sustained minor injuries, and two are reported to be in critical condition."
