More than 620 people killed in Iran in Israeli attacks since June 13: Health Ministry

TEHRAN, June 26:
At least 627 people have been killed and 4,870 others injured in Israeli airstrikes across Iran since June 13, a senior official of Iran’s Health Ministry said today.
Hossein Kermanpour, head of public relations at Iran’s Health Ministry, said on X that capital Tehran and Kermanshah in Western Iran suffered the highest number of fatalities and injuries.
Other heavily affected provinces include Khuzestan, Lorestan, Isfahan, Markazi, East Azarbaijan, Hamedan, Zanjan, and Gilan, which rank third to tenth in terms of casualties.
Iran’s MEHR news agency quoted him as saying that 86.1 percent of those killed lost their lives at the scene of the strikes while 13.9 percent died on the way to or upon arrival at hospitals.
Top military commanders and nuclear scientists were killed in targeted IsraeIi air strikes.
These include Iranian nuclear scientist Sedighi Saber who was killed alongside 11 members of his family in an Israeli attack shortly before the Iran-Israel ceasefire took effect late on Monday, Al Jazeera reports. The attack took place in Astaneh Ashrafieh, a northern Iranian city near the Caspian Sea.
