Indian students now have a great chance to study abroad without worrying about money. The government of Uzbekistan is giving fully-funded scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year. These scholarships are for Master’s programs at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, which is in the beautiful and historic city of Samarkand.
What will the scholarship cover?
- Full tuition fees
- A monthly stipend of 43,000 INR (approx.)
- Extra allowance for local travel and sightseeing in Uzbekistan
Who can apply for the scholarship?
Students interested in doing a Master’s degree in the following subjects can apply:
- Tourism and Hospitality
- Archaeology
- Museum Studies
- Restoration and Heritage Management
All classes at the university are taught in English, so language will not be a barrier.

The last date to apply is August 1, 2025. This scholarship is part of Uzbekistan’s efforts to build stronger educational ties with countries in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), including India.

What are the conditions?
To apply, you must:
- Have a valid passport.
- Completed graduation with a proper degree certificate.
- Provide a CV (resume) and a passport-sized photo.
- Have a minimum IELTS score of 6.0. (If your graduation was in English, you don’t need IELTS.)
- Write a 1.5-page essay on the topic: “Contributing to the development of tourism of the SCO countries.”
