Gaushala, Nandishala to come up at Dangdehri village
Former Minister of State Aseem Goel on Thursday laid the foundation stone of a gaushala and Nandishala to be established at Dangdehri village in Ambala. The project is coming on 5-acres at a cost of Rs 5 crore. Stray cattle roaming in Ambala City will be shifted at the gaushala and nandishala at Dangdehri village.
As per the information, two sheds each in gaushala and Nandishala will be built, and the project is expected to be completed in one year. While the gaushala will have the capacity for nearly 1,000 cows, the Nandisahala will have the capacity to keep around 800 to 900 bulls. Shifting of stray cattle from roads in Ambala has been a major issue.
After laying the foundation stone, Aseem Goel said, “Shifting of stray cattle from the roads has been a long-pending demand in Ambala City. To provide relief to the residents and also shift the cattle to a safer place, a gaushala and Nandishala will be established at Dangdehri village. For the past two years, the Ambala Municipal Corporation has been working on the project.”
Deputy Mayor of Ambala Municipal Corporation Rajesh Mehta, elected municipal councillors of different wards and other leaders were present.
