Devotion & drums: Month-long Bonalu festival starts at Golconda Fort with Bonam offering to Goddess Jagadambika

Telangana's vibrant Bonalu festival commenced on Thursday with traditional fervor, honoring Goddess Mahakali. The rituals began with priests invoking blessings, followed by a procession to the Jagadamba temple. Women carried Bonams, offerings of cooked rice and jaggery, while Potharajus danced to drum beats. Minister Konda Surekha offered 'pattu vastrams' on behalf of the state government.
