'I Cannot Be Perfect': Sufi Motiwala Pens His Emotional 'Obituary' After Getting Evicted From The Traitors

Social media personality, fashion critic and content creator Sufi Motiwala has shared a heartfelt note following his eviction from the reality show The Traitors. Taking to Instagram, Sufi penned his 'obituary' in which he opened up about his journey on the show, his personal growth, and the desire to be seen as more than just his online persona.

In the note, Sufi expressed that he wanted to showcase different facets of his personality. "Dear caption avoider, I said yes to this show with one thing in mind - to show the world (or at least one person) that I'm more than just what's on my Instagram. I wanted to show you the shades of Sufi: the crazy, the senti, the whimsy, the unhinged, and the purely psychotic. Also the embarrassing, the dumb, the cuckoo, the 'wtf is she doing?' (sic)," Sufi wrote.

Reflecting on the pressures of social media, he admitted to constantly feeling the need to be perfect and liked by everyone. "I CANNOT be perfect. But lately I've realised: No one can," he wrote. "Since I started this journey at 19, I've been growing up in front of you. Now at 21, I’m happy, I’m content, and baby, I’m still just 21. We ought to reach the Met Gala by 45 at least," he joked.

Sufi concluded his note with a mix of humour and gratitude, writing, "To my lovers and haters (y’all are wild but sometimes constructive - I give 10s where 10s are due). And my hair is a mystery never to be fully understood, so don't even BIATCH. That’s all. Thank you for watching, follow for more. Bye."

In the caption, he wrote, "The obituary of Sufi Motiwala. They got me gurl :( in another reality I win."

Sufi Motiwala's eviction

Sufi's eviction occurred after Purav Jha became the sole Traitor following Elnaaz Nourouzi's exit. During a cocktail party arranged for contestants, Purav discreetly chose Sufi for elimination. The next day, a challenge revealed the name of the 'poisoned' contestant, leading to Sufi's elimination from the show.

About The Traitors

The show explores themes of trust, betrayal, and social dynamics, with an emphasis on how people react under pressure and deception. The show is shot in Suryagarh Palace of Jaisalmer. New episodes of the show drop every Thursday.

In the show, certain participants are secretly selected as traitors and they are tasked with eliminating the others (known as innocents) without revealing their identity. The traitors kill innocents every night as the innocents attempt to uncover the traitors through daily votes.

Besides Sufi and Elnaaz, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, Karan Kundrra, Janvee Gaurr, Jannat Zubair, Anshula Kapoor, Raftaar, Maheep Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, Mukesh Chhabra and Lakshmi Manchu have been eliminated from the show so far.

The other players are Jasmine Bhasin, Uorfi Javed, Apoorva Mukhija, Purav Jha, Sudhanshu Pandey, Harsh Gujral, Nikita Luther and Janvi Gaur.
