Pensioners Life Certificate: There is important news for lakhs of pensioners of Himachal Pradesh. As per the instructions issued by the Treasury Rules and Finance Department, all the pensioners of the state can compulsorily submit their life certificate along with the necessary documents for the year 2025-26 between 1st July to 30th September 2025.
If the pensioners get biometric verification done through online digital life certificate, then they will not need to appear personally in the treasury office in future. Biometric verification done on Jeevan Pramaan portal will remain valid for one year. All pensioners have been requested to ensure submission of their life certificate within the time limit so that the pension distribution process can be kept uninterrupted.
How to submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra
Jeevan Pramaan Patra can be downloaded from the department’s website http:Himkosh.hp.nic.in, which can be filled and submitted in any treasury office after getting it verified from the concerned Patwari, Panchayat Secretary, Bank Manager and any Gazetted Officer of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
Pensioners can also submit digital Jeevan Pramaan Patra by getting biometric verification done on Jeevan Pramaan Portal www.jeevanpramaan.gov.in through biometric device available in National Informatics Centre (NIC), Treasury or Common Service Center (CSC). Digital certificate based on Aadhaar number will be accepted as a valid document by the Treasury Office.
Pensioners who have already registered their Aadhaar number in the treasury can submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra through biometric device from any place, and they will not need to submit the document separately in the treasury.
The date for submission of life certificate in Chhattisgarh is September 2025. The process of submission of life certificate for the year 2025 for all the pensioners of Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh will start from 1 July 2025. To ensure uninterrupted receipt of pension, pensioners will have to get the life certificate verified from an authorized officer as required and submit it to the concerned treasury office or subordinate sub-treasury office during working days. If a pensioner does not complete this process within the stipulated time, his pension may be stopped.

It is worth noting that Jeevan Pramaan Patra is a biometric enabled digital life certificate for pensioners. It is very important for retired employees of central government, state government and other government institutions. It shows whether the person receiving pension is alive or not.
