'The Family Man' season 3 teaser out: Jaideep Ahlawat turns heads in assassin outfit, fans call him 'Desi Winter Soldier'
Amazon Prime Video India on Friday dropped an announcement teaser for the highly anticipated third season of Manoj Bajpayee-starrer 'The Family Man'.
The teaser comes after the makers kept fans on edge for nearly three years following the cliffhanger ending scene with a cryptic message about Project Guan Yu, sent in a chat room—suggesting Chinese involvement in this season.
The recap-style teaser sees beloved protagonist Srikant Tiwari (played by Manoj Bajpayee) asked about his secretive occupation at the fictional Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell (TASC).
“Life and relationships counsellor,” he answers, in a humorous reference to the strain in his relationship with his wife Suchi (played by Priyamani) in season two.
The trailer also briefly shows the newest cast additions—Nimrat Kaur, and 'Paatal Lok' fame Jaideep Ahlawat, clad in black, giving him the appearance of a ferocious warrior. Season two had Samantha Ruth Prabhu as one of its biggest cast additions, who played the central antagonist: a Sri Lankan civil war soldier.
Written and directed by maverick filmmaking duo Raj & DK under their banner D2R Films, the high-octane series continues to blend action, wit, and emotional nuance. The third season is also co-directed by Suman Kumar and Tusshar Seyth alongside the original duo, hinting at a broader, more layered storytelling canvas.
The third season teaser has drawn fans of not just Manoj Bajpayee, but also Jaideep Ahlawat.
“Jaideep Ahlawat! From a protagonist in Paatal Lok to an antagonist in The Family Man S3! Can't wait!” a fan commented. Others even called him a “desi Winter Soldier”, referring to Sebastian Stan's character in Marvel films.
Featuring an ensemble cast of Manoj Bajpayee, Sharib Hashmi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Nimrat Kaur, and Priyamani, the explosive third season is set to release later this year, although no date has been fixed yet.
