A new feature is going to be added to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI)’s ‘RajmargYatra App’ next month, through which passengers will be able to know which route between which two places has the lowest toll tax.

Want to go from Delhi to Lucknow? The app itself will tell you the cheapest route

Amrit Singh, ITS Chief Product Officer of IHMCL (Indian Highway Management Company Ltd) said that if someone wants to go from Delhi to Lucknow, then he has three options-

  • Via Yamuna Expressway
  • Via Ghaziabad-Aligarh-Kanpur
  • Via Moradabad-Bareilly-Sitapur

In such a situation, the app will compare these three routes and suggest the cheapest route based on toll tax, which will help passengers save money and facilitate planning.

  • You can lodge a complaint for any problem on the highway
  • Information about traffic, road block and alternative routes will be available

Two-wheelers breaking rules on the expressway

NHAI’s ATMS (Advanced Traffic Management System) data has revealed that there were 1.73 lakh traffic violations between June 21 and 23, of which more than one lakh cases were of two and three-wheelers entering restricted areas. The government is now tracking these violations to ensure safe travel on the highway.

New 67 KM section on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to open soon

NHAI may soon open a 67 km long new section connecting Bandikui to Jaipur via Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to the public. This four-lane section, built at a cost of Rs 1,368 crore, can be made available for traffic testing by mid-July. This will make the journey from Delhi to Jaipur even easier and faster.
