Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 T Variant- How Well Does It Compete With XUV700?
Mahindra today introduced it's Scorpio N with a new Z8T range which slots below the flagship Z8L variant. This is a new variant which costs Rs 20.29 lakh while getting the same features as seen on the Z8L but only without the ADAS level 2 features. For around Rs 1.13 lakh less, the Z8T is just below the ADAS equipped model for which Mahindra is asking a lakh more.
In the Z8T you get features like an electronic parking brake, a 360 degree view camera, front parking sensors, 18 inch alloy wheels, ventilated front seats along with a 6-way powered drivers seat plus more. With these features, the Scorpio N now nearly matches the XUV700 and the Thar Roxx while gaining the equipment levels required to match up with other big SUVs in its class too. There are no mechanical changes to the Scorpio N and it retains its diesel engine and petrol engines with automatic options.

Compared to the Roxx and the XUV700, there are some features which are offered on these two which the Scorpio N does not get but largely the feature list has been improved considerably. ADAS while not available earlier is also an important feature set while also getting some new features not seen on any other Mahindra ICE SUV.
Mahindra has been regularly updating its range in terms of adding new features and the Scorpio N being its best seller was a car which needed these upgrades. Now, these features do close the gap between the Scorpio N and its siblings.
