6th Joint Working Group Meeting Between Indian Coast Guard And Assam Rifles Concludes At Kochi
The 6th Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting between the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and Assam Rifles was concluded on 27 Jun 2025 at Coast Guard District Headquarters No. 4 (Kerala & Mahe), Kochi. The annual meeting witnessed the active participation of senior delegates from both premier border guarding forces of the nation, reaffirming their continued commitment to enhancing inter-service cooperation and integration.
Formally affiliated on May 22, 2019 in Shillong, the Indian Coast Guard and Assam Rifles have since been engaged in regular collaborative initiatives. The Joint Working Group meeting serves as a vital platform to foster mutual understanding of operational practices, strengthen camaraderie, and promote the optimal use of each other’s assets for training, sports, and adventure activities.
This year’s deliberations focused on enhancing interoperability, sharing best practices, and increasing cultural exchange to deepen institutional synergy.
