Harmeet Singh, is one half of the most prominent and successful music-producing duo, Meet Bros. Born on August 25, 1980, he began his career with television by making appearances in serials like Ghar Ghar Ki, Kkusum, and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Popularly known as Harry, he eventually ventured into music and became a hit pair with his brother Manmeet. The two then formed Meet Bros and became popular for composing hit Bollywood numbers. They even bagged several accolades including the IIFA and Filmfare Awards for Best Music Director for Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Roy.

Before Sunaina, Harmeet was married to Shefali Jariwala, but their marriage ended in divorce after five years. There were several accusations from Jariwala’s side, one alleging that he tortured her physically and mentally. According to her FIR statements, she even accused Harmeet of withdrawing approximately Rs 12 lakh from their joint account without her permission.
When Shefali Jariwala publicly talked about her divorce
Openly addressing her troubled marriage with Harmeet, Shefali spoke out in 2021 interview with Times Now, “It is very important to understand that you are not being appreciated. Not every kind of violence is physical. There is a lot of mental violence that also happens, and you are very unhappy in your life.”
She also highlighted how divorce is still considered as a taboo in our society, adding, “I think one of the reasons why I could make the decision (of divorce) for myself was because I was independent. I was making my own money. The biggest fear in our country is we have is of the society. Divorce is considered to be taboo but the way I have been raised, is to not really care about society but just do what we feel is right. I could take such steps in my life and had strong support.”
Shefali Jariwala married Parag Tyagi in 2015, and eventually moved on, marking her striking appearances in television and other projects.
