The new batch of Haryana Police constables includes some unusual recruits such as MBAs, M.Phils, MTechs, law graduates and other postgraduates. “As a result of the transparent recruitment process in the Haryana Police, highly qualified youth have been recruited in Haryana Police. This shows that educated and aware youth are now serving in Haryana Police,” said DGP Haryana Shatrujeet Kapur. In a grand passing-out ceremony held at the Haryana Police Training Centre, Bhondsi, on Saturday, a total of 783 trainee constables (264 women and 519 men) formally completed their training and commenced service in the Haryana Police Force. On this occasion, the trainees took an oath to serve the country, demonstrating discipline and dedication.
The chief guest at the ceremony was the Union Government’s Home Secretary, Govind Mohan, who inspected the parade, took the salute and wished the newly trained constables all the best for their future. The impressive parade was commanded by female trainee Renu, who became a symbol of women’s empowerment. In his address, Govind Mohan said that joining the police force is not merely a profession but a sense of responsibility and service towards society. “The three new laws implemented by the Central Government – the Indian Judicial Code, the Indian Civil Defence Code and the Indian Evidence Act – have been thoroughly understood by the trainees and will implement them effectively in the future. Policemen must be disciplined, mentally strong and technically proficient,” said Minister Govind Mohan.
On this occasion, Haryana DGP Shatrujeet Kapur noted that out of 783 constables in this batch, 718 have been selected from rural areas and 65 from urban centres. He reiterated that the recruitment process had been completely transparent and highlighted the high educational qualifications of many recruits.
“Haryana Police has achieved remarkable success in controlling cybercrime. In the year 2025, there has been a 50 per cent decline in cyber fraud cases and five times more recovery has been recorded. Now, on average, 21 cybercriminals are being arrested every day, which was five in the year 2023. The 112 emergency service operated by Haryana Police has been established as a robust system. This service is providing assistance to the citizens of the state in an average of 7 minutes 12 seconds and its satisfaction rate is 92 per cent. There has been a significant decline in serious crimes against women in the last two years. The success of Haryana Police in the drug-free campaign has also been remarkable,” said DGP Kapur.
