Man kills mother in Samalkha, held

The Police have arrested a man for allegedly murdering his mother by hitting her with a brick on her head due to some family feud at Pawti village of Samalkha in the district.

The deceased has been identified as Birmala of Pawti village while the accused was her son Kapil. The police presented him in the court and the court sent him on two-day police remand.

SI Deepak, SHO, Samalkha, said the accused during the preliminary investigation said he constructed a house in the adjoining village by taking money from his mother Birmala. His mother gave him money which she took on interest. Now, he was not able to return the money due to which they had a feud over the money.

An altercation took place with his mother, father and his brothers over the money on June 26. His father Rambir and brother Vikas began supporting his mother Birmala. He went on the rooftop and began throwing bricks on them. One of the brick hit in mother’s head and she sustained serious injury. He came down and attacked his brother too.

The family members took her to the civil hospital at Samalkha where doctors referred her to the PGIMS, Rohtak. The doctors declared her dead.

Following the complaint of Rambir, the Samalkha police registered a case against the Kapil for murdering his mother under various sections of the BNS.
