Most Seismically Active Country

It is to be noted that Pakistan is one of the most seismically active countries in the world. Hence earthquakes often occur in different parts of the country.

Pakistan’s location at the intersection of the Eurasian and Indian tectonic plates makes it seismically active. The country’s provinces are situated on either plate, with Balochistan, FATA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan on the Eurasian plate and Sindh, Punjab, and Pakistan-administered Kashmir on the Indian plate. The collision of these plates causes frequent earthquakes. Currently, there are no reports of damage, but further information is pending.
