Cardiac Arrest Linked To Anti-Ageing Medication? Shocking Details Emerge in Shefali Jariwala’s Death Probe
The entertainment industry was left shocked after actor and model Shefali Jariwala passed away late on Friday night. Her last rites were held on Saturday evening at Oshiwara Crematorium in Mumbai, with close family members and friends in attendance.
As investigations continue into the sudden and tragic demise of the 42-year-old actress, several key details have emerged regarding the possible cause of her death.
Police Investigating Link Between Anti-Ageing Medicines and Cardiac Arrest
According to sources familiar with the investigation, the police have collected vital information based on witness accounts, seized items, and initial forensic findings.
"Shefali was regularly consuming anti-ageing medicines for the last seven-eight years. There was a puja at home on June 27, due to which Shefali was fasting. Despite this, she took an injection of anti-ageing medicine in the afternoon of the same day. These medicines were advised to her by a doctor years ago, and since then she has been taking this treatment every month. So far in the police investigation, it has come to light that these medicines could be a major reason for cardiac arrest," the source told NDTV.
Initial findings suggest that Shefali's condition took a drastic turn between 10 and 11 PM on the night of June 27.
"Between 10 and 11 pm, Shefali's health suddenly deteriorated. The body started trembling and she fell unconscious. She was immediately taken to the hospital. At that time, Shefali, her husband Parag, mother and some other people were present at home," the source added.
Investigators have since seized various medications from the residence, including anti-aging vials, vitamin supplements, and pills related to gastric care. So far, eight statements have been recorded from family members, domestic staff, and medical professionals.
The exact cause of death is still under examination, and a detailed forensic report is awaited. Meanwhile, investigators are closely looking into the long-term effects of the medication and whether it played a direct role in her sudden cardiac arrest.
It is being reported that the police have found no signs of dispute or foul play in the case. Authorities are currently awaiting the postmortem findings and laboratory analysis of the confiscated medications to determine the precise cause of death.
