Pakistani Teen Couple Found Dead Near Jaisalmer Border: Dehydration Or Tragic Love Story? Agencies Probe Mystery
The bodies of a teenage minor girl and a young man have been discovered near the India-Pakistan border in Jaisalmer. The bodies, estimated to be 6-7 days old, had turned black from exposure in the desert. Pakistani SIM cards and ID cards were found near the corpses, leading authorities to suspect the deceased might be Pakistani nationals. Security agencies have been alerted following the discovery, and an investigation has been initiated.
According to police, both bodies were found about 10-12 km inside Indian territory from the border fencing in the Sadevala area of the India-Pakistan border. The Tanot police have sent the bodies to Ramgarh CHC mortuary. The post-mortem examination will help determine the cause of death. Investigations are ongoing to establish whether the girl and boy were residents of India or Pakistan.
Superintendent of Police Sudhir Chaudhary stated that the ID card found near the male body identifies him as Ravi Kumar (18), son of Dewana, from Post Office Ghulam Hussain Laghari, Ghotki Sindh, Pakistan. The girl, identified as a minor, is named Shanti Bai, daughter of Guloji. Both were residents of different villages in the same district.
