WATCH | Drone interrupts Tejashwi Yadav mid-speech at a Waqf rally in Patna

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday narrowly escaped injury after he moved back as a camera drone lost power and hit the podium in front of him.
The former deputy CM of Bihar had been speaking at the ‘Waqf Bachao, Samvidhan Bachao Sammelan’ (Save Waqf, Save the Constitution) rally at the Gandhi Maidan in Patna, when the drone malfunctioned, interrupting his speech.
According to Patna SP (Central) Diksha, Yadav had been delivering his speech in “a restricted area, and such an object should not have landed there”.
“The police team was busy managing the crowd when the rally was underway, but the matter will be definitely investigated thoroughly," she added, as per a PTI report.
Leaders from various opposition parties were present at Yadav's protest, organised in opposition to the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, with many even wearing black armbands—symbolising their dissent against the controversial bill.
Although the sudden drone interruption caused brief confusion, Yadav quickly regained composure and resumed his speech.
“I would also ask my Muslim brethren in Bihar to remember that the NDA government is on its way out. In November, a new pro-poor government will be installed in the state and it will consign the Waqf Act to the dustbin,” the leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly said at the rally, as per a PTI report.
Tejashwi Yadav will lead the INDIA bloc at the state Assembly polls, which will be conducted later this year.
