Making efforts to simplify online services for members: Regional Provident Fund Commissioner
Shimla Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Rakesh Kumar has said efforts are being made to simplify online services being provided to Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation members.
“A new online declaration form has been introduced for corrections in member profile, in which members can themselves apply for corrections. Most points of profile correction can be corrected at the member and employer level. However, in some special cases, correction applications are forwarded to the office, where they are approved immediately,” he said here recently.
“To provide quick and hassle-free services to members, and to resolve their complaints promptly, several online platforms — such as EPFIGMS, CPGRAMS and DPG Portal — have been made available. Members can lodge complaints on these platforms while sitting at home. Members are contacted and informed of the resolution of their complaints,” Kumar added.
He said all these services were being provided by the organisation free of cost.
“Members can avail these services using their mobile phones, or contacting the nearest office of the organisation,” he added.
“Members are also advised not to share any EPF-related information, such as UAN password and KYC details, with anyone. The office is continuously striving and committed to ensuring accountability, and providing prompt and transparent services to the members,” he said.
