Dr Darakhshan reviews Muharram arrangements, visits Amarnath Yatra Base Camp

SRINAGAR, June 29: Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board and Minister of State, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, today visited several Imambaras at Pandrethan and Balhama to review arrangements for the upcoming Muharram observance.
She was accompanied by DDC Member and senior BJP leader Aijaz Hussain.
Dr Andrabi interacted with local delegations and listened to public grievances.
She resolved several issues on-the-spot by speaking with concerned officials.
Speaking to the media, she said that Muharram serves as a reminder of the timeless sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and his family for truth and righteousness.
“The life and teachings of Imam Hussain (AS) continue to inspire generations across the world,” she said.
Later, Dr Andrabi visited the Shri Amarnath Yatra Base Camp at Pantha Chowk to take stock of facilities for pilgrims.
She met the camp management and volunteers and reviewed the arrangements.
She said, the Amarnath Yatra reflects the spirit of spiritual unity and communal harmony.
“The pilgrims are our revered guests and we are committed to serving them with warmth and devotion,” she added.
