The students were heading to their exam center when a broken bridge forced them to wade through the swollen river using slippery rocks for support. The video, reportedly from the Miali-Badhani Tal motor route, shows one student leaping between boulders while others look on in fear and frustration—raising serious questions about the administration’s preparedness.As rainfall continues to wreak havoc, roads are submerged in mud, vehicles are stuck, and travel to key religious destinations like Kedarnath and Badrinath has become perilous. In another alarming incident, a car was stranded in thick mud on the Badrinath National Highway and had to be pulled out using a bulldozer.Meanwhile, in Himachal Pradesh, the Pandoh Dam in Mandi district has overflowed, prompting authorities to open five of its gates, releasing water into the Beas River. The rising water level is now threatening low-lying areas in Punjab. Residents have been advised to stay away from riverbanks and remain alert.The floods have not only disrupted life but also exposed poor infrastructure and planning in vulnerable regions.
