Tanvi The Great Trailer: After Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, Anupam Kher Is All Set To Bring The Story Of An Autistic Girl To The Big Screen
In 2010, Karan Johar introduced the Indian audience to autism with his film My Name Is Khan, in which Shah Rukh Khan’s character was an autistic man. Later, in 2012, Priyanka Chopra played the role of an autistic girl in Barfi. Just recently, in Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, one of the characters suffered from invisible autism. And now, Anupam Kher is all set to bring the story of an autistic girl to the big screen with his movie Tanvi The Great. The film stars newcomer Shubhangi in the lead role, and Kher, apart from directing the movie, also plays a pivotal role in it.
The trailer of the movie was launched at an event in Mumbai on Monday, June 30, 2025. It is a heart-warming trailer, and while we have seen movies revolving around autistic people, Tanvi The Great promises to offer something new.
The movie revolves around a girl named Tanvi who, like her late father, wants to join the Indian army. But can a person suffering from autism be a part of the Indian army? Well, let’s hope that the movie answers this question.
Shubhangi, who makes her debut with Tanvi The Great, has surely put up a good act. However, her performance will remind you of Shah Rukh Khan from My Name Is Khan, and even a little bit of Priyanka Chopra from Barfi.
The movie also has a very strong supporting cast, like Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Boman Irani, and Jackie Shroff. So, of course, with such an amazing star cast, the expectations from the movie are quite high.
Tanvi The Great Release Date
Tanvi The Great is slated to release on July 18, 2025. While the trailer has impressed us, let's wait and watch how the film turns out. The movie will be clashing at the box office with YRF's Saiyaara and Sonakshi Sinha's Nikita Roy.
