Mahadangal: Waqf Law Triggers Fiery Clash Between BJP, RJD, and Congress on ABP News | ABP NEWS
The controversial Waqf law became the center of a high-voltage political clash on ABP News’ primetime show Mahadangal, as panelists locked horns over remarks made by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav during a rally in Bihar. The debate, anchored around rising communal tensions and electoral strategies, quickly turned fierce with BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi targeting RJD and Congress for what he called “vote bank appeasement under the mask of secularism.” Trivedi accused RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav of insulting constitutional institutions by threatening to discard the Waqf law, comparing it to the disregard shown during the Emergency. He argued that even Muslim-majority nations like Saudi Arabia and Turkey do not follow such Waqf structures, and called out the opposition’s alleged push for a “maulvi script” over the Constitution. Congress spokesperson Abhay Dubey accused the BJP of spreading communal unrest for political gain, stressing that socialism and secularism were rooted in Bihar’s soil. He warned that the people of Bihar would answer divisive politics in the upcoming elections through the power of their vote.
