Banned Fuel Supply: A big step has been taken to reduce air pollution in Delhi. An important traffic rule has been implemented in Delhi from Tuesday i.e. today (1 July). Diesel vehicles older than 10 years and petrol vehicles older than 15 years will not be given fuel at petrol pumps in the capital. Along with this, if any such vehicle tries to fill fuel, it can be seized. The Transport Department has made a special strategy in collaboration with Delhi Police and traffic personnel to ensure strict compliance.

The instructions came into effect from 12 o’clock on Monday night

On Tuesday, pictures came from different areas of Delhi, where notices have been put up at petrol pumps for the general public. Drivers reached the Bharat Petroleum petrol pump at Lal Kuan on Mehrauli-Badarpur Road since morning to fill petrol. Petrol pump employees said that they had received instructions from the administration after 12 o’clock at night that fuel should not be given to vehicles older than the stipulated time limit.

If someone tries to force us, we have been given numbers to take help from the police.” Similarly, a team of transport enforcement and traffic police was seen deployed at the petrol pump in Chirag Delhi, who are keeping a strict vigil on 10-year-old diesel vehicles and 15-year-old petrol vehicles.

Transport Enforcement Sub Inspector Dharamvir said, “We are strictly implementing this decision of the Delhi government at petrol pumps. Duty has been imposed from 6 am. Local police station and traffic policemen are also helping us.”

Hooters and cameras at petrol pumps

He said, “Cameras and hooters have been installed at all petrol pumps. If a vehicle that does not meet the prescribed standards comes, the camera detects it, after which the hooter starts sounding automatically.
