Breaking News: Trees left in middle of widened road in Jehanabad spark safety concerns | ABP NEWS
In a shocking case of administrative negligence, Bihar’s Jehanabad district is witnessing a bizarre road expansion outcome. Due to the lack of proper coordination, a row of trees now stands dangerously in the middle of a newly widened road, posing a constant threat of accidents. The road widening project began in April 2022 and was scheduled for completion by April 2025. However, in the absence of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Forest Department, the trees could not be cut down. Despite this, the road was expanded around them, leaving the trees right in the middle of traffic lanes.Officials claim that a request for tree removal was submitted long ago, but the delay in NOC approval stalled action. This situation has now become a hazard for commuters, especially at night. Locals are demanding immediate intervention before a major accident takes place.
