5,000 light-year-old nebula photographed in UAE: A first for Emirati astronomers

Emirati astrophotographers from the Emirates Astronomy Society have captured stunning high-resolution images of the Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888) from the UAE’s eastern mountains. Located 5,000 light-years away in the Cygnus constellation, the nebula was photographed using advanced equipment over 10 hours. The achievement highlights the UAE’s growing capabilities in deep-sky astronomy despite challenging desert conditions.
