In a recent post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Goenka shared a personal reflection, noting with quiet pride that he has "never shouted or raised my voice at anyone" throughout his professional journey.
"Of course, I’ve had moments of anger, disappointment, and frustration," he acknowledged. "But I’ve learned that losing your temper doesn’t help."
For the veteran business leader, emotional control is not about detachment but about discipline. “Staying calm doesn’t mean you’re unaffected. It means you’re in control,” Goenka wrote. He summed up his perspective with a powerful assertion: “Grace under pressure—that, to me, is the true mark of leadership.”

Slowly, abuse became a normal part of the office culture. The management did not care, as long as the money came in. Add a few fancy words for the cameras like synergy, empowerment, wellbeing, and DEI, and the world clapped. Nobody asked what went on behind the scenes. No one had the courage to say the emperor has no clothes. Because anyone who did was shown the door and left with no food on the table,” the user added.
“Affected but calm is a form of restraint in speech, but it does not constitute true calm. In contrast, not allowing oneself to be affected by circumstances by training one’s mind to think clearly is the essence of real calm,” wrote a second user.
