Youth killed, four booked

The body of a youth, who had gone out to buy a buffalo, was found under a bridge under mysterious circumstances here. After a complaint of the victim’s mother, the Chabbewal police have registered a case against four people on the charge of murder.

According to the information received, Manjit Kaur, a resident of Basi Aladdin village, told the police that her son Gurjeet Singh (25) had left the house on his bike to buy a buffalo. Gurjeet also had about 25 thousand rupees and his mobile phone. She said after some time she got information that her son had fallen under the Tajewal-Bichhoi bridge. She reached the spot and took Gurjeet in an injured condition to a hospital where the doctors declared her son dead.

In the complaint, she alleged that her son had been murdered. The complainant alleged that they could not find the cash and mobile that her son had. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against four alleged accused, namely Jora, Trilok Singh, alias Tholu, Kaka and Manpreet Singh, alias Mani, residents of Tajewal. Giving information in this regard, the incharge of Chabbewal police station said that the alleged accused in the case would be arrested soon and the entire incident will be revealed. Raids were being conducted to arrest the accused, he added.
