SBI celebrates 70th Bank Day

JAMMU, July 1: On the occasion of Platinum Jubilee, State Bank of India, local head office, Chandigarh celebrated 70th Bank Day, here today.
On this occasion, Circle Level Staff Cultural programme and a get together of local dignitaries, customers, staff and their families was organized at Tagore theatre, Sector-18, Chandigarh.
Krishan Sharma, chief general manager, Chandigarh Circle graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Krishan Sharma, chief general manager, Chandigarh Circle in his brief address, informed the audience about the Bank’s seven decades of trust, service and nation-building.
“SBI is a symbol of trust for more than 52 crore Indians. It is the backbone of India’s development story,” he said.
Sharma reiterated the Bank’s Commitment to make SBI the Bank of choice for everyone in the transforming India.
He appreciated the efforts of the participants and the organizing teams to make the event a glorious one and project SBI as staff oriented.
Sharma also impressed upon the staff to keep up the good work being done by them and wished them all the best in their future endeavors.
The event was comprised of beautiful songs, folk dances, gazals, poetry recitation etc.
The get together was made memorable with energetic and melodious performances of staff members from different state and UTs.
