In the first phase, the census will be conducted. In this, information will be collected about the residential status, property and amenities of the people. In the second phase of the census, demographic, socio-economic and other information of every person living in the house will be collected. This will be called Population Enumeration (PE).

In a letter written to the Chief Secretaries of the states, it has been said that the work of supervisors and other census officers and workers should be divided before the stipulated date. This work will be done at the district level. The government said that this time caste information will also be recorded in the census. 34 lakh surveyors and supervisors will be appointed for the census work. These people will do the field work. Apart from this, 30 thousand census officers will be deployed. These officers will prepare the data of the information received during the census. After this, this information will be digitized.

What will be asked

The Office of Registrar General and Census Commissioner has prepared about three dozen questions which will be asked from people during the census. In this survey, information related to phone, internet, van, radio, TV, fridge will be sought from every person. Apart from this, people will also be asked which grain they eat and what is the source of drinking water. Information related to toilet, water drainage, bathing and kitchen will also be taken from the people. People will also have to give information about LPG or PNG connection.

According to the information, people will also be asked what material they have used on the roof, walls and floor. How many people live in the house. How many rooms are there in the house. How many married couples are there in the house. Is the head of the house a woman or a man. The last phase of the census is to be completed by March 1, 2027. The agencies have started preparations only after the notification was issued. Census is conducted in India every 10 years. However, this time the census has been delayed due to Corona.
