Pune Crime: Fake Baba Who Sexually Assaulted Victims And Watched Their Private Moments Through Mobile App To Remain In Police Custody For 3 Days

Pune court on Tuesday remanded Prasad alias Baba alias Prasad Bhimrao Tamdar to four days of Police custody.

Tamdar was arrested on Saturday by Bavdhan Police for allegedly practising black magic, cheating people, and secretly keeping a watch on them through a mobile phone remote access app.

The self-proclaimed godman is accused of practicing black magic, cheating people, and secretly monitoring their activities through a mobile phone remote access application.

Regarding the matter, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and Other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013, and the Information Technology Act.

What exactly did he do?

Tamdar was running an ashram in the Bavdhan area under the Pimpri-Chinchwad police area, where he claimed to provide solutions to various issues of people through astrology and black magic.

A police official told ANI that Tamdar would ask his visitors to download an app on their mobiles, which would give him access to their phones. He would then ask his visitors to engage in sexual acts with women, including sex workers, and he watched secretly on his phone.

The app allowed him to secretly monitor their activities. He would ask the victims to keep the phone open and watch the sexual activity claiming it was for ‘identifying flaws in his planets', reported the Indian Express.

He has also been accused of sexually assaulting the victims by giving them sedatives.
