'War 2' synopsis LEAKED? Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR film to be 'bloody battleground' amid Kabir-Vikram showdown

The makers of 'War 2', a highly anticipated sequel to action blockbuster 'War 1' (2019)—featuring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff—have finally revealed the synopsis of the sequel, giving an insight into which direction the franchise will head to next.

Ahead of the sequel's worldwide IMAX release on August 14, the film's detailed synopsis unexpectedly appeared on US e-ticketing platform Fandango—before even appearing on BookMyShow (one of India's biggest e-ticketing platforms) or in-house cinema applications, such as that for PVR Cinemas.

The Fandango synopsis explains that Kabir (played by Hrithik Roshan) had gone rogue—a fact seen in the first film—but adds that Kabir had gone on to become “India’s greatest villain”.

It adds that India, in response, sends a “lethal” Special Units officer (played by 'RRR' fame Jr. NTR) to take him down: “A Special Units Officer who is more than Kabir’s equal—Absolutely Nuclear! Agent Vikram.”

“A brutal Cat versus Rottweiler game begins as the two face off—the entire world is their brutal bloody battleground. The choices ahead of them are impossible. The price to be paid is ultimate. This is a War with spectacular action and heart-wrenching emotion,” the synopsis adds, in conclusion.

The sixth offering from the YRF Spy Universe has also been in the news for an uncommon promotional move: keeping its two lead actors apart until the film's release.

With less than 50 days left for the film's release, the studio continues to keep Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR apart, with a view that revealing their on-screen rivalry to audiences first would heighten the emotional and cinematic payoff.

Featuring an ensemble trio of Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani, YRF's upcoming offering precedes 'Alpha', which stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.
