Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh said that for past two years, more than 2000 students from municipal schools have received free coaching at Mayor Gurukul and have produced commendable results.

Mayor announced that this year, 17 students from class 10 and class 12 have scored over 85% and will be taken on an air trip.

He said Mayor Gurukul provides not only free coaching to children studying in five municipal schools but also facilitates summer camps with cultural activities like dance, music, and other art forms.

Additionally, all children receive free yoga education. He further mentioned that before examinations, students from these five municipal schools receive thorough preparation from teachers of private institutes under the Mayor Gurukul programme.

This results in not only better performance but also visible intellectual development in the children.

He also stated that every year, over 2000 children participate in a cultural programme featuring a patriotic movie, enjoy delicious food, and enhance their intellectual development through quiz competitions.

Mayor highlighted that the private institute is continuously enhancing the study and teaching facilities for children studying in the five municipal schools. Now, these municipal school children are receiving all the facilities that are typically provided to students in private convent schools.
