Horrific! Earpods On, Game-Addicted Youth Hit By Train While Playing PUBG On Rail Track; Loses Right Hand
Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A game-addicted youth was hit by a train while playing PUBG at a railway track in Jabalpur on Wednesday. The victim lost his right-hand in the accident.
The accident occurred near in the Ghamapur area, near bridge number two in the city.
According to information, the youth had gone to the railway track with his friends. He sat near the track with earbuds on and started playing the mobile game. He got so engrossed in the game that he didn’t notice a train approaching. The speeding train crushed his right hand.
People nearby rushed him to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College Hospital.
He was admitted in critical condition to the orthopaedic department. Doctors said the hand was so badly damaged that saving it was not possible. His bones and nerves were shattered, and to prevent infection and save his life, doctors had to cut the hand.
Dr Ashok Vidyarthi, head of the orthopaedic department, said the lower part of the hand was crushed completely, and surgery was the only option to protect the patient’s life.
This disturbing case highlights the growing danger of mobile game addiction, especially among the youth. Games like PUBG are affecting the thinking and daily lives of children and youngsters.
Many become so lost in the virtual world that they forget about their real surroundings.
