Ramayana First Glimpse: 'Ram' Ranbir Kapoor Clashes With 'Ravana' Yash In This Breathtaking Spectacle - WATCH

After months of anticipation and hype, the first glimpse of Nitesh Tiwari's magnum opus, Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana, was unveiled by the makers on Thursday. The ambitious adaptation of the Indian epic has been in the making for almost a year, and by the looks of it, it is surely set to be one of the grandest films of recent times.

The video finally revealed the first official looks of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Yash as Ravana. While Ranbir looks every bit divine, Yash looks as menacing as it gets, perfectly embodying the magnanimity of Ravana.

The first glimpse video opened with glimpses of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, and it called the battle fought between Ram and Ravana was "the war to end all wars". The video also gave glimpses of Ranbir shooting an arrow out of his bow as Lord Ram, while Ravana embarked on his quest to destroy the world.

The highlight of the video has to be the goosebumps-inducing visuals and visual effects, and it is safe to say that the makers knew exactly what they wanted to create when they took up the job to bring the Ramayana in new packaging on the silver screens.

Ramayana also stars Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Laxman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, and Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, among others. The looks and details of the actors have been kept heavily under wraps, and at present, it is one of the most anticipated Bollywood films.

Ramayana has been produced by Namit Malhotra, and it will be released in two parts. While the first part will hit the silver screens on Diwali 2026, the second part is slated to release in Diwali 2027.
