A significant disruption has occurred among the ranks of the richest people in the world, as Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison has now swapped places with Amazon’s Jeff Bezos.  According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Ellison has secured the third position while Bezos is now fourth in the ranking of the world’s richest people.

Going by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Ellison’s net worth rose by $10.3 billion on Wednesday, bringing his total to $246 billion; it is the fourth consecutive day Ellison has seen major changes in his net worth. He has gained a total of $54.2 billion in net worth since the beginning of the year. In the meantime, Bezos reported a loss of $672 million, dropping him to a net worth of $241 billion after dropping one spot in the worldwide rankings.

Earlier, on Tuesday, Musk had lost more than $12 billion. Musk’s net worth is now $361 billion. Musk has had the biggest loss so far this year of any billionaire at a total of $71.2 billion.

Mark Zuckerberg’s position is also at risk!

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta Platforms (formerly Facebook), is presently in second place with $252 billion. The gap between Zuckerberg and Larry Ellison is now just $6 billion.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is fifth on the list of the richest people in the world with a net worth of $175 billion. The ex-CEO of Microsoft, Steve Ballmer, is sixth with a net worth of $170 billion. Bernard Arnault of France, who sells handbags, is seventh with a net worth of $162 billion. Larry Page and Sergey Brin are on the list at eighth and ninth with net worths of $162 billion and $152 billion, respectively. Warren Buffett is the tenth wealthiest person in the world with a net worth of $144 billion. India’s wealthiest person, and the richest person in Asia, Mukesh Ambani, comes in at sixteenth with a net worth of $111 billion, while Gautam Adani is at the twentieth spot based on a net worth of $85.2 billion.
