Phone-tapping violates right to privacy: Madras Court observes, ‘Can only be used for…’

The Madras High Court ruled that phone-tapping violates the right to privacy unless legally justified. Justice N Anand Venkatesh emphasised that interception is permitted only during public emergencies, not for ordinary crimes.
