'Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1' trailer out: Pawan Kalyan sets screen on fire with promise of an epic tale

A voiceover announces his arrival. "When the Emperor curshed this nation's hard work beneath his feet...When nature herself was awaiting the arrival of a lone warrior..."

The nearly three-minute-long footage of Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1: Sword vs Spirit teases an epic tale that seems to carry everything that pleases die-hard fans of Pawan Kalyan. There are mentions of the transport of the Kohinoor diamond — "to bring it home, a weapon of destiny, like Lord Rama's arrow..." — hinting at the fearsome quality of the daredevil character that Pawan Kalyan is portraying: the titular outlaw who is thrust into a conflict with the Mughal empire.

The trailer teases multiple fights, battle sequences on land and air, romance, humour and, of course, fiery dialogues from the 'Power Star' like, "Until now, you've seen tigers devouring goats. Now you'll see a royal tiger hunt other tigers" and "Many pray to God for me to come. But you? You're hoping I don't."

Recently, Mega Surya Productions, the company backing the movie, announced that the film will hit theatres on July 24, 2025.

Given the immense hype around the movie, the jubilant trailer launch event in multiple venues was expected to draw a humongous audience with large hoardings and cutouts of Pawan Kalyan, who is returning to screens after a two-year gap.

As per reports, one of the venues, Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, the site of the Pushpa-2 incident last year, cancelled the event after a massive crowd thronged the place for entry passes. The situation demanded police control, and subsequently, the theatre management decided to cancel the event, causing much disappointment to Pawan Kalyan fans.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krishna, the period drama is set in the Mughal period, revolving around the exploits of the legendary outlaw Veera Mallu and his conflicts with the Mughal empire. It is expected to be out in two parts, with the release of Part 2 yet to be announced.

The film was initially planned for a March 29 release, then pushed to June 12, but the makers opted to postpone the release to the current date owing to post-production delays and some pending VFX work.

Backed by producer A Dayakar Rao under the banner Mega Surya Productions, the film has music by Oscar-winning composer M. M. Keeravani ("Baahubali", "RRR"). Aside from Pawan Kalyan and Bobby Deol, the film also features Niddhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, Nora Fatehi and Sonakshi Sinha.

It will get a wide release in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
