Bihar Shocker: Newlywed Woman Gets Husband Killed To Keep Affair With 50-Year-Old Uncle Alive In Aurangabad
The infamous Meghalaya honeymoon murder case became a talking point in almost every household across the country after a newlywed woman orchestrated her husband's killing during their honeymoon. In a similarly shocking case from Bihar, a woman arranged her husband's murder just 45 days into their marriage so she could continue relationship with her 50-year-old uncle in Aurangabad district.
The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Priyanshu, a resident of Barvan village under Nabinagar Police Station jurisdiction. Priyanshu had recently married 20-year-old Gunja Devi.
The marriage had been solemnised against Gunja Devi's wishes, as she had wanted to marry her uncle, with whom she had been in a long-term relationship. However, her family strongly opposed this union.
According to reports, Gunja hired two sharpshooters to kill her husband. While police have arrested both shooters, Gunja's lover Jivan Singh remains at large, with authorities actively searching for him.
According to police, Priyanshu was returning by train from his sister's house on June 25. Upon reaching Nawinagar station, he asked his wife Gunja Devi to arrange for someone to pick him up by bike. While travelling home from the station, two men shot him dead.
Police immediately launched a murder investigation and began conducting raids to apprehend the suspects. Their suspicions were raised when Gunja Devi attempted to flee the village, alerting Priyanshu's family members.
Examination of Gunja Devi's call records revealed her constant communication with her uncle. Further analysis of the uncle, Jeevan's, call records showed his contact with the alleged shooters.
SP Amrish Rahul confirmed, "We've formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to handle this case. The murder occurred just 45 days after Priyanshu and Gunja's marriage. We've arrested three suspects including Gunja Devi, and are making efforts to apprehend Jeevan Singh."
This case bears similarities to the Meghalaya honeymoon murder, which involved the killing of Raja Raghuvanshi from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Raja's newlywed wife Sonam and her lover Raj Kushwaha allegedly murdered him during their honeymoon in May, with assistance from three accomplices. All suspects in that case have been arrested.
