Disturbing news for the football world came in as Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota, 28, and his brother Andre Felipe, 26, died on Thursday morning in a car crash in Zamora, Spain. Jota was travelling with his brother just days after his wedding with his partner, Rute Cardoso. They tied knots on June 22, just 10 days before the horrifying incident.
Jota was on his way with his brother on the A52 highway. According to local media, the car they were travelling in suffered a tire burst. The car went off-road and ended up in flames. Both the brothers died on the spot.
