Pune VIDEO: Did MNS Workers Thrash Vanaz Resident Over Objectionable Social Media Post Against Raj Thackeray?

Several media reports on Thursday claimed that Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers thrashed a Vanaz resident over an objectionable post against their party chief Raj Thackeray.

According to the reports, the man, identified as Kedar Soman, used offensive language and made objectionable posts against Thackeray on social media. Angered by this, MNS workers caught and beat him up severely, the reports added.

However, when The Free Press Journal spoke with Senior Police Inspector Sandeep Deshmane of the Kothrud Police Station, he said that Soman wasn't physically assaulted by the MNS workers.

"No physical abuse happened as the police were present at the spot. No FIR has been lodged so far. We have received a complaint letter from MNS workers. We are verifying the facts of the post and whether it was intentional or not," said Deshmane.

Meanwhile, a video is going viral in which MNS workers are seen banging the door of Soman's home, abusing him for the post against Thackeray, and demanding he apologise. However, Soman's door remained closed.
