Hyderabad court sentences man to 5 years' RI, fined Rs 5 lakh in dowry case

In an unprecedented ruling, a Hyderabad court has sentenced Narasimha Reddy, a private sector employee, to five years in jail and levied a ₹5 lakh fine for dowry harassment. The court ordered that the fine be paid to Reddy's wife. While Reddy was convicted, his family members were acquitted due to insufficient evidence presented during the trial.
