Arkade Developers Buys Iconic Filmistan Studios In Mumbai For ₹183 Crore, Plans Luxury Residential Towers

Mumbai: Arkade Developers Limited, a listed real estate company on the BSE and NSE, has signed a binding agreement to acquire Filmistan Pvt Ltd for around Rs 183 crore. This acquisition gives Arkade control of the iconic 4-acre Filmistan Studios land parcel located on SV Road in Goregaon West, Mumbai.

The company plans to launch an ultra-luxury residential project on the site in calendar year 2026, featuring spacious 3, 4, and 5 BHK homes along with exclusive penthouses. The development will include two 50-storey high-rise towers, with a Gross Development Value (GDV) projected at Rs 3,000 crore, making it one of the most significant premium housing launches in Mumbai's western suburbs.

Once known for its film studios, Goregaon West has now emerged as a prime residential corridor, offering excellent connectivity via the Western Express Highway, metro lines, and major arterial roads. Its proximity to key business hubs such as BKC, Andheri, and Mindspace Malad, combined with robust social infrastructure—schools, hospitals, malls, and green zones like Aarey Forest—makes it an ideal choice for high-end living and future investment.
