Woman alleges abuse by brother, assault by police in Odisha’s Puri

A young woman from Kakatpur, Puri, alleges attempted rape by a distant relative and subsequent assault by local police when filing an FIR, sparking an investigation by Nimapada SDPO. Instead of receiving support, she claimed the police physically assaulted her and her relative. A female constable had slapped and pushed her during the ordeal, the FIR stated.
