HC notice in police recruitment exam rigging case
The High Court of Himachal Pradesh has issued a notice to the Public Service Commission and the CBI along with the state government in a case related to alleged rigging of the police recruitment examination. The court has directed the respondents to file their replies within four weeks.
Justice Ajay Mohan Goel issued the order after preliminary hearing on a petition filed by Aman Arora and other petitioners. The petitioners demanded the cancellation of the examination and a CBI inquiry into the allegations made by the candidates.
The petitioners alleged that the matter of paper leak had come to light even before the police recruitment examination. The candidates had sent a complaint to the Public Service Commission through an e-mail but no cognisance was taken of it.
