Yuvraj Kanwar of Beh Choohar village near Kamahi Devi has brought prestige to his family and the Kandi region by securing the 103rd rank in the GATE examination. He has earned admission to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur.

After securing admission, Yuvraj, son of Captain Manmohan Singh, visited Maa Kamakshi Devi temple with his family to pay obeisance and receive blessings from the temple’s presiding Mahant Rajgir.

On this occasion, Mahant Rajgir of Maa Kamakshi Darbar honoured Yuvraj by presenting him with Maa Kamakshi’s chunari (dupatta) and a souvenir. Mahant Rajgir praised Yuvraj for bringing glory to his parents and the Kandi region, expressing hope that his achievement will inspire the youth and children of the area.

Yuvraj’s mother, Meena Kanwar and uncle, Vikram Singh Kanwar, stated that Yuvraj secured his place in IIT without the help of any coaching.

Meena Kanwar added that Yuvraj had always dreamed of pursuing higher education at an Indian Institute of Technology, a goal he has now fulfilled. She noted that Yuvraj used to sleep only five to six hours daily, dedicating his nights to studying. Mahant Rajgir blessed Yuvraj for a bright future.
